Estel Smith, Jr. age 87 of Barbourville, KY was born in Knox County, KY on August 13, 1933 to the late Estel Smith, Sr. and Delora Wagers Smith and departed this life on November 12, 2020 in the Claiborne Medical Center in Tazwell, TN. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed working on cars and time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, his wife: Margaret Marie Smith; 2 daughters: Carol Smith and Delora Wolf; a brother: Jabe Smith; and a daughter-in-law: Daisey Smith preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving children: Estel “P Joe” Smith of Gray, Annett Ferro and husband William and Teresa Smith all of Barbourville, Ricky Smith and wife Judy of Girdler, Gary Smith and wife Janice of Walker, and David Smith and wife Kristie of Barbourville; a son-in-law: James Wolf of Girdler; 23 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Estel Smith, Jr. will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. with family and friends officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson Garland Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home Wednesday from 12:30 to the funeral hour at 2. Due to the continuing COVID-19 Pandemic, the family has requested all visitors wear face mask and practice Social Distancing.
