Ms. Emily Jean Hale, 76, of Barbourville, passed away Friday evening, October 30, 2020 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital. She was the daughter of Bertha Bennett Logan and the late Randolph Girdner born on July 16, 1944 at Bryants Store.
Emily was a former employee of Treadway Brothers and a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Paul Kenneth Hale and companion, Michael Grayson, of Mansura, LA; her mother, Bertha Logan of Heidrick; a sister, Shirley McCreary of Barbourville; her long-time companion, Jack Sterling of Harlan; a grandson Justin Smith and wife, Tarah of Barbourville; two great granddaughters, Averie and Rylie Kate; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, November 5 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Dennis Chesnut and Rev. Tim H. Mills officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Doolin Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday after 1 P.M. until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
