Edward “Detroit” James Landaw Jr., age 58, of Barbourville was born in Wooster, Ohio on August 29, 1962 to the late Edward and Virginia Kirkendall Landaw and departed this life on September 2, 2020 at his home in Barbourville. He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed watching college sports, collecting quarters, hard work, loved life, a loving father and grandfather, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his Mother: Virginia Landaw; a Brother: Ricky Martin and a grandson: James Landaw preceded him in death.
He is survived by his father: Edward Landaw of Wooster, Ohio; Fiancé’: Donna Smith of Barbourville; 4 sons: Bradley Pilarski and Robin of Rockholds, Brandon Pilarski and Tiffany of Girdler, Jason Pilarski and Tonya of Artemus and Joshua Pilarski and Jennifer of Hammonds Fork. 5 daughters: Chelsea Gray and Johnathan of Bimble, Stephanie Ross and Mike of Artemus, Emily Landaw of North Carolina, Megan Landaw of Michigan, and Leanda Landaw of North Carolina. 2 sisters: Lora Robinette and Kayla Hall both of Wooster, Ohio. 18 grandchildren and other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
A Memorial Services for Mr. Edward Landaw Jr. will be conducted Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Gregory Catholic Church with Father Anthony Muthu officiating. Internment is private to the family. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic the family has requested all visitors wear face masks and practice social distancing.
