Obituary for Edna Mae Partin (1933-2023)

Mrs. Edna Mae Partin89, of Swan Lake, passed away Friday morning, March 31, 2023 at St. Joseph London.  She was the daughter of the late Luster and Maggie Lawson Bennett born on July 2, 1933 in Knox County.

Edna was a homemaker and a member of the River Baptist Church.  She enjoyed quilting, sewing and working in her yard.  In the last few years, she also spent time making toboggans for the VA.

On February 11, 1950, she united in marriage with Elbert Junior Partin and to this union five children were born.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Partin; two sons, Bill Ed Partin and wife, Debbie, and Jerry Wayne Partin; two sisters, Ruby Etta and Zelma Ruth Bennett; three brothers, John Will, Claude Edward and George Frank Bennett and a grandson, Shane Matthew Partin.

Survivors include her loving children, Jack Kenneth Partin and wife, Lovella, of Barbourville, Perry Luster Partin of Corbin and Sheila K. Manning and husband, Tommy, of Williamsburg; a sister, Beulah Fay Saylor of Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren, Jack Partin and fiancé, Karlie, Steve Partin and wife, Wendy, Billy Partin and wife, Marlena, Rachel Pennington Partin, Mike Partin and wife, Tawni, and Thomas Manning; great grandchildren, Amber, Payton, Kaylee and Kimber Partin; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, April 3 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Tim Phipps officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Foley-Gray Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be grandsons and Roy Mills Jr.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Monday prior to the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
