Obituary for Edna Mae Brock Roark (1948-2020)

Edna Mae Brock Roark, age 72 of Barbourville, was born in Bell County, KY on February 24, 1948 to the late Talton and Fannie Jones Brock and departed this life on Monday, December 14, 2020 in the Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed Gospel Music, crossword puzzles, visiting with people, and Family Time. 

In addition to her parents, 2 infant children; and 2 brothers: TJ Brock and Paul Brock preceded her in death.

She is survived by her loving children: Brenda Roark Brock, Jennifer Roark Smith and husband Wendell and Lance Roark and wife Lucy all of Barbourville, and Tiffany Roark Cox and husband Charles, Stacy Roark and wife Tina, and Oscar Roark all of Flat Lick; a brother: Willie J. Brock and wife Jeanette of New Tazwell; 2 sisters: Elsie Hensley of Beverly, KY and Gail Brock Griffith and husband Leonard of Somerset; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Edna Mae Roark will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Lester Grubb and Rev. Wendell Goodin officiating.  Burial will follow in the Asher Cemetery with Michael Brock, Dillon Brock, Travis Roark, Brandon Smith, George Sizemore, Charles Roark, and Wendell Smith serving as Pallbearers.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Lance Roark, Stacy Roark, and Oscar Roark.  Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home Thursday from 10 A.M. to 9 P.M., and Friday from 10 A.M. to the funeral hour at 1.  Due to the continuing COVID-19 Pandemic, and new regulations from our Governor gatherings will be limited and all who attend will be required to wear face mask and practice Social Distancing.
