Mrs. Edna Branstutter, age 81 of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, September 16, 2024, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on April 1, 1943, the daughter of Boone and Mary Smith. Edna was a member of the Boone Height Holiness Church. She loved attending church, working in her yard and spending time with her family and all the children in the neighborhood.
She is preceded in death by her husband Willie Branstutter, her parents, Boone and Mary Smith, one daughter, Debbie Henson five brothers, Jabe Smith, JL Smith, Curt Smith, Will Smith and Daniel Boone Smith and two sisters, Lula Smith and Marie Jordan.
Left behind to mourn her passing, her children, Victor Jordan of Barbourville, Henry Jordan and wife Angel of Williamstown, Kentucky and Brenda Messer and husband Sawyer of Barbourville, a brother, Walter Smith and wife Cathy of Woolum and a sister, Louellen Townsley of Michigan, grandchildren, Chris Adams, Ashley Deaton and husband James, Chaz Jordan, Sawyer Messer IV, Chance Boone Jordan, Kelsi McEwen and husband Tyler, Tabi Jordan, Kandace Hurst and husband Blake, Alex Jordan, Jack Jordan and Megan Jordan, great-grandchildren, Hadley Deaton, Peyton Adams, Kaydence Deaton, Kensley Adams, Braxton McEwen and Rylee Messer, her caregivers and friends, Nellie Messer, Theresa Hamilton and Jamie Hensley. She also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Branstutter will be conducted on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Lonnie Collett and Rev. Jerry Vaughn officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery with pallbearers being, Chris Adams, Sawyer Messer IV, Chance Boone Jordan, Alex Jordan, Jack Jordan and Chaz Jordan. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Paul Pederson and Amanda Hammons, PA-C. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 3:00 p.m.
