Mr. Earl Farris Garland, age 89 of Cannon, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Corbin. He was born on November 29, 1934 in Barbourville, Kentucky and was the son of Jim and Mary Garland.
His parents precede him in death as well as his wife Dorothy Garland, three children Bobby Garland, Kathy Garland, Sandra Lee Garland, three siblings George Garland, Verdia Garland, Shirley Garland.
Left behind to mourn his passing, four children Phyllis Riggs of Bowlingreen, Kentucky, Darlene Garland of Cannon, Kentucky, Steve Garland of Cannon, Kentucky, Jerry Garland of Barbourville, Kentucky, two siblings Raymond Garland of Bimble, Kentucky, Wilma Centers of Barbourville, Kentucky, ten grandchildren Sabrina Garland, Holly Pindley, Cameron Myers, Ethan Engle, Tabitha Marie, Angelia Weir, Tommy Garland, Michael Garland, Crystal Garland, Jamie Garland and three great grandchildren Peighton Pendley, Tristan Younger, Anthony Younger. He also leaves many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Earl Garland will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Garland Cemetery at Cannon. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
