Ms. Doris Jean Jackson, 61, of Barbourville, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 12, 2022 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Sally Mills Jackson born on March 15, 1960 in Bell County.
Doris was a former Walmart employee and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed her work, watching television and coloring with her sons when they were young.
She united in marriage with Randall Lee Brummett and to this union two sons were born. Later in life, she married Billy Ray Carroll.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray, and a brother, Wayne Jackson.
Survivors include her two loving sons, Randall Wayne Brummett and fiancé, Patty, of Barbourville and James Arthur Brummett of Vevay, IN; six treasured grandchildren, Joshua Wayne, Sierra Faith, Anna Grace, Corey Matthew, Savannah Leann and Jacob Brummett; three cherished great grandchildren, Madelyn Grace, Karter Wayne and Sierra Marie Brummett; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, January 20 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Tim Spencer and Rev. Ray Dean Jr. officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Balkan Cemetery in Bell County.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Thursday prior to the funeral hour.
Expressions of sympathy may go to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
