Doreen Cornelius age 69 of Gray, Kentucky departed this life on Thursday, February 13, 2020 in the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. She was the daughter of the late Jim Will Tidwell and Nora (Johnson) Tidwell and was born to them on October 23, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan.
Doreen was a member of the Keck Baptist Church. She was a retired social worker and drug court worker and a Kentucky Colonel. She enjoyed being outside, being with people, and gardening.
Survivors include, her daughter Lisa Cornelius of Knoxville, Tennessee, a son James Cornelius of Gray, KY, three grandchildren, Jordan Jones, Layla Cornelius and Cassius Cornelius. She also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Doreen Cornelius will be conducted on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend David Johnson and Reverend Darrell Bargo officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. She will be laid to rest in the Johnson Family Cemetery at Gray, Kentucky. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Monday, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
