Obituary for Diania Jean Lambdin (1954-2020)

Mrs. Diania Jean Lambdin, 67, of Barbourville, passed away Sunday morning, August 1, 2021 at her home.  She was the daughter of the late Archie and Alma “Opal” Bryant Powers born on March 17, 1954 in Detroit, MI.

Diania was a former seamstress with Warner’s and a member of the Little Poplar Creek Baptist Church.  She enjoyed collecting antiques, spending time with family and friends and in earlier years, riding horses.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Buck” Lambdin and a beloved daughter, Chastity Lambdin.

Survivors include her sister, Vickie Burgess and husband, Jackie, of Corbin; two grandchildren, Brittany Cox of Bryants Store and Miranda Cox of Indianapolis, IN; two great grandchildren, Matthew Abner and Jonah Taylor; special cousin, Barbara Peace of Barbourville; special friend, Steve Hinkle of Barbourville; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, August 8 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Ronnie Rose officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Powers Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be family and friends.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
