Mrs. Diana Murphy, age 58 of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 in the Barbourville ARH Hospital. She was born on May 27, 1966, the daughter of Clinton Alvin Jones and Helen Chadwell Jones.
Diana was a former employee of Tommy’s Root Beer Stand for twenty-seven years. She was a member of the Church of God in Girdler. She enjoyed spending time with her dog scruffy whom she loved dearly. Diana is preceded in death by her father Clinton Alvin Jones, her grandparents and many uncles and aunts.
Survivors include her loving mother, Helen Jones of Girdler, cherished Son Joshua Murphy of Boone Heights, two sisters, Kim Smith and husband Ralph of Boone Heights and Melissa Frost and husband Michael of Gray. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
A short funeral service will be held for Diana on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton-Hutton funeral home Chapel with Rev. Nathan Ledington officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Chadwell Cemetery in Girdler. Pallbearers will be Ralph Smith, Cameron Smith, Brandon Frost, Robert Frost, Mike Frost, Derek Lewis and Michael Frost. Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
