Dexter Riley age 73 of Girdler was born in Knox county, Ky on February 21, 1948 to the late Walter and Odie Mills Riley and departed this life on September 16, 2021 at his home. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed his church, hunting, fishing, taking walks, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, his wife : Margaret Riley; 1 brother: Virgil Riley; 1 sister: Lizzie Riley preceded him in death.
Dexter is survived by his loving siblings: Arnold Riley and Pamela Herl of Cannon & Bonnie Jean Hatfield of Campbellsville, KY; a special Niece Michelle Gray; Special friends : John Smith, Orangie Wheat, Carl Gene Morris, Charlie Hinkle, Frankie Bright, Betty Deaton, Gracie Riley, Tristian & Rebecca Decroix Mary Griffith, and Clayton and Lula Gray.
The family would like to give special thanks to all of his Hospice nurses and care givers.
Funeral services for Mr. Dexter Riley will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Owen Smith & Rev. Tip Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Riley Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6:00- 9:00 PM and on Sunday from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00PM
