Obituary for Denver Carl Scott (1965-2020)

Denver Carl Scott, age 55 of Georgetown, KY was born in Barbourville, KY on October 5, 1965 to the late Cecil and Sally Wombles Scott and departed this life on December 9, 2020 in the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.  He was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed working, cooking, gardening, listening to music, riding Harleys, taking walks, playing basketball, and time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, his wife: Sharon Scott; and 3 brothers: Charles Wayne Scott, Curtis Eugene Scott, and Martin Wombles preceded in death.

Denver is survived by his loving children: Pamela Scott and fiancé Mike Minton and Chris Longsworth all of Lexington; 2 stepchildren: Tim Longsworth and wife Myrna of Barbourville, and Tasha Longsworth of Lexington; 2 brothers: Kenneth Scott of Covington, KY, and Arnold Scott and wife Edna of Georgetown, KY; 8 sisters: Viola Vaughn, Margaret Martin, Linda Mills, and Sharon Collins all of Barbourville, Kathleen Downey, and Rosalea Grills both of Georgetown, Connie Honeycutt of London, and Shirley Carroll of Shelbyville; 3 grandchildren: special life long friend: Sabrina Smith; other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services for Mr. Denver Scott will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Craig Valentine officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Cemetery in Scott Hollow with family and friends serving as Pallbearers.  Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home Sunday from 11:00 A.M. to the Funeral Hour at 1.  Due to the continuing COVID-19 Pandemic, and new regulations from our Governor gatherings will be limited to 25 people and all who attend will be required to wear face mask and practice Social Distancing.  Due to these regulations, we will have a Register outside under the porch for those who wish to stop by and sign.
