Mr. Dennis Dairl “Pooh” Gibson age 49 of Flat Lick, departed this life on Monday, April 3, 2023 in the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. He was the husband of Leann (Collins) Gibson and the son of James Dairl Gibson and Bonnie Joy (Isom) Gibson born to them on January 1, 1974 in Barbourville, Kentucky. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He loved being with his family especially his grandson and nephews. He also liked being outdoors whether it was fishing or riding his four-wheeler around the farm.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Bonnie Gibson, one brother, Danny Gibson and his mother-in-law, Gwen Collins.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife Leann Gibson, his daughter Siera Sine’ Gibson and wife Ashley “Mashburn” Gibson, one grandson, Parker Gatlin Allen Gibson all of Barbourville, one brother Matthew Gibson and wife April Michelle of Girdler and one sister, Debbie Gray and husband Charles of London, his father-in-law, John Collins and wife Lisa of Barbourville, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Johnna and Will Bradley of Covington, nieces, Samantha Bargo and husband Jared of Crittenden and Libby Mills and husband Adam of London, nephews, M.J. Gibson of Heidrick, Bradyn Sowders of Barbourville and Collin Bradley of Covington, two great nephews, Greyson Mills and Isaac Mills both of London. He also leaves behind his two fur babies, Josie and Rudy along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Gibson will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Owen Smith and Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Gilbert Cemetery at Girdler. Pallbearers will be Shawn Collins, Tyler Collins, Will Bradley, Adam Mills, Lonnie Wayne Isom and Gary Isom. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
