Della Mae Marcum Collins, age 68 of Barbourville was born in Bell County, KY on April 11, 1956 to the late Jess Marcum and Mary Earls Marcum and departed this life on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 in the Barbourville ARH Hospital. She was a member of the Coalport Holiness Church and enjoyed watching TV, traveling, shopping, Soap Operas, and time with family and friends, especially the grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents: Jess and Mary Marcum; a special son-in-law: Donald Grubb; a grandson: Zachary Grubb; a great grandson: Victor Scott Marion, III; 4 brothers: Jess Willard Marcum and wife Dollie, Hugh L. Marcum and wife Virginia, Ledford Marcum and wife Josie, and Gus Marcum and wife Faye; 2 sisters: Olina Jones, and Stella Jones and husband Jimmy; and a stepbrother: Paul preceded her in death.
Della is survived by her loving husband of over 52 Years: Rev. Glenn Collins of Barbourville; her son: Larry Colemon of Jacksboro, TN; 2 daughters: Pamela Marie Baker of Barbourville, and Margie Ann Grubb both of Barbourville; 3 brothers: HC Marcum, George Marcum, and Charles Marcum all of Trosper; 2 sisters: Shirley Coleman and husband Larry of Selmer, TN, and Geneva Jenkins and husband Buster of London; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Della Mae Collins will be conducted in the Coalport Holiness Church Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Scotty Farmer, Rev. Reed Murphy, and Rev. Orangie Wheat officiating. Burial will follow in the Collins Marcum Cemetery with the grandsons serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Barbourville Funeral Home Thursday from 6 to 9 PM, and at Coalport Holiness Church from 11:00 Thursday Evening to the funeral hour at 4:00 PM on Saturday.
