Delbert Wagers, age 62 of Barbourville was born in Clay County, KY on November 4, 1959 to Jesse Wagers and the late Gladys Wagers and departed this life on January 4, 2022 at his home. He was of the Holiness Faith and enjoyed being outside, working on vehicles, listening to music, and time with family and friends.
In addition to his mother, his stepfather: Bill Hicks; 2 sisters: Della Mae Wilson and Delphie Stewart; 2 brothers: Dillard Wagers and Douglas Wagers preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife Melissa Wagers of Barbourville; his father: Jesse Wagers of London; 2 daughters: Kimberly Wagers and Lakenzie Wagers both of Barbourville; 3 brothers: Dennis Wagers and wife Kathy of Barbourville, Denver Wagers and wife Molly of Clay County, and Christopher Gray and wife Katie of London; and a host of other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Delbert Wagers will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Glenn Collins and Rev. Leslie Broughton officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home Tuesday Evening from 6 to 9 P.M., Wednesday from 10 A.M. to 9 P.M., and Thursday from 10 A.M. to the funeral hour at 2.
