Mr. David Rose, 56, of Davis Bend, passed away Sunday morning, January 2, 2022 at his home. He was the son of the late Bernice Broughton Rose born on February 17, 1965 in Knox County.
David was a former employee of MPI Metal Products and of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed four-wheeling, being outdoors and loved to debate, even though he was always right. He especially enjoyed spending time with his daughter and his family.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Kathy Dye Rose; a brother-in-law, Bill Dunn and a great nephew, Jacob Daniel Price.
Survivors include his beloved daughter, Kaitlyn Lashae Rose of Manchester; a step-son, Josh Napier of Manchester; sisters, JoAnn Dunn of Flat Lick and Jeanetta Walker and husband, Jimmy, of Barbourville; a brother, Jimmy Dale Rose of Flat Lick; nieces, Megan Price, Chloe Rose and a special niece, Briana Dunn, who took especially good care of him as his caregiver; a great nephew, Jagan Price; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, January 9 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Leslie Broughton officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Patterson Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Darrell Hobbs, David Abner, Tom Brooks, Curt Ingram, Josh Napier and Mike Smith.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
