David Carmack age 65 of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at his home. He was the son of Imogene Smith and Hobert Carmack born to them on June 19, 1954 in Knox County. He was a member of Beacon Baptist Church and was the owner and operator of Parkway Service Center.
He is preceded in death by his father, Hobert Carmack, his step- mother, Wanda Carmack, a brother, Steven Carmack, his paternal grandparents, Clark and Nollie Carmack and his maternal grandparents, Tom & Bessie Grubb.
Survivors include his son, Allen Carmack and wife Misty of Barbourville, Kentucky, two grandsons, Logan Carmack and Nathan Carmack and fiance’ Katelyn Bays of Barbourville, his mother Imogene Smith of Barbourville, two sisters, Darlene Givens and husband Dennis of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky and Dianne Hamilton and husband Randall of Georgetown, Kentucky and Patty Johnson a very special friend who he loved dearly. He also leaves behind many other relatives and dear friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for David Carmack will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Chesnut and Rev. Mike Helton officiating. Pallbearers will be Allen Carmack, Nathan Carmack, Logan Carmack, Ricky Broughton, Patrick Goodin, Tim Bargo, Steve Merida and Rodney Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be, Derrick Bright, Ken May and his co-workers, Larry Hinkle, Cecil Alsip, Ricky Trent, Jerry Baker, Scotty Hammons and Roger Sizemore along with all his biker buddies. He will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
