Mr. Darrell Tyrone Lawson, age 50 of Girdler Kentucky departed this life on Saturday, March 2, 2023 in the UK Medical Center in Lexington. He was the husband of Sheree (Hoskins) Lawson and the son of Shirley Lawson and the late Darrell Jones born to them on January 26, 1974 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Darrell believed in the Baptist Faith and had been an over the road truck driver. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his wife Sheree Lawson of Girdler, his mother Shirley Lawson of Woodbine, Kentucky, two daughters, Tyra Lynn Lawson of Girdler and Angie Johnson of Lexington, a grandson, Lincoln Alton Terry of Lexington, seven siblings, Malisa Lawson of Woodbine, Kentucky, Mattie McClure of Woodbine, Kentucky, Kenley Sunbom of Versailles, Kentucky, Felica Reed, Jammie L. Conners and Darrell Conners both of Quincy, Illinois and Brian Sunbom of Ray City, Georgia and his best friend who was like a brother, Donnie Hardin of Tennessee. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
In celebration of Darrell, a gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening, March 7, 2024 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
