Mr. Danny Ray Hibbard, 67, of Barbourville, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 16, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was born on April 14, 1957 at Fort Thomas, the son of the late Lloyd and Margaret Hampton Hibbard.
Danny retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant, worked with the Secret Service and at the Pentagon. He loved attending the Boone Height Pentecostal Church, where he was a member. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Danny also dearly loved time with his wife and family and treasured his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
On October 13, 2015, he united in marriage with Barbara Hembree.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Terry, Gail Frazier and Linda Hibbard and brothers, Lloyd Hibbard Jr. and Jimmy Hibbard.
Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Hibbard of Barbourville; children, Angela Sutton, Christy Barnes and husband, Jerry, Danny Ray Hibbard Jr., Tristian Hibbard, Shannon Hibbard, Nicole Frederick and husband, Brett, and Billy Wilson; a brother, Darryal Hibbard and fiancé, Mary; grandchildren, Julia Bright, Shawna Hibbard, Jonathan Singletary, Kaitlyn Messer, Abigail Singletary, Jamie Cooke, Matthew Cooke, Charity Garrett, Casey Mills, Christian Mills, Caitlyn Mills, Seth Glover and Emily Wilson; 14 great grandchildren; among other loves ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Wednesday, January 22 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Charles Henson and Jamie Cooke officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Hampton Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Jamie Cooke, Matthew Cooke, Jerry Barnes, Dawson Barnes, Billy Wilson, Brett Frederick, Casey Mills and Christian Mills. Honorary bearers will be Ken Johnson, Bobby Hammons and Jerry Ledington.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Wednesday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
