Mrs. Cora Ann Gibson, 70, of Barbourville, passed away Monday morning, April 21, 2025 at the Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 25, 1954 in Knox County, the daughter of the late Willard and Alta Owens Martin.
Cora was a former restaurant operator and a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning and was an avid UK fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Smallwood.
Survivors include her children, Randall Scott Lake and wife, Tracy, of Heidrick, Melissa Lake of Barbourville and Christopher Thomas Stanley of Ohio; sisters, Sharon Hammons of Heidrick and Kelly Farris of Keavy; grandchildren, Brittany Burton, Jed Lake, Andrew Burton, Christian Stanley, Zachary Lake, Haleigh Lake, Nathaniel Stanley and Aubree Lake; six great grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends.
A memorial service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, April 27 at 2 P.M. with Jeffrey Branum officiating.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday between 1 and 2 P.M.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
