Barbourville, Ky. – Clifford “Cliff” Edward Carroll, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away December 31, 2022. Cliff was born in Pineville, Kentucky on April 7, 1942 to Walter and Nannie Brown Carroll. As a young man, Cliff enrolled in the Army and proudly served his country. He married Doraine Elizabeth Terhune, to whom he was married for 51 years. His chosen career was in the auto industry. He worked for Ford Motor Company for over 25 years.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Doraine Elizabeth Terhune; daughter, Kathy C. Auerbach (David); siblings: Dorothy Carroll Perkins (Steve), Ann Carroll Freeman (Douglas), Nyoka Carol Hall (Darrell) and Doug Carroll (Linda Pauluzi); one grandchild, Mikaya and several nieces and nephews. A son, John Allen Carroll; and siblings: Donald Carroll, Mary Katherine McCarthy, Patty L. Carroll and Johnny Carroll, preceded him in death. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Amerian Diabetes Association.
A visitation for Cliff Edward Carroll will be held on January 13th, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour of 1:00 PM at Hopper Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery. The family has chosen as casket bearers: David Auerbach, William Beard, Chad Carroll, Doug Carroll, Kyle Carroll, and Patrick Vergona.
