Clayton Gray, age 76 of Girdler was born in Green Road, KY on January 24, 1948 to the late Enas and Cleo Mills Gray and went to be with Jesus on July 30, 2024 at his home. He was of the Holiness Faith and enjoyed singing, playing with his grandchildren, and time with family and friends. On June 17, 1967 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Lula Smith.
In addition to his parents: Enas and Cleo Gray; his loving wife of over 55 years: Lula Gray; an infant child; an infant granddaughter: Kaylee Linda Marie Gray; a brother: Clinton Gray; sister-in-law: Zella Gray; and 2 brothers-in laws: Bill Dean Bruner and Edford Hollin preceded him in death.
Clayton is survived by his loving children: Linda Honeycutt and husband Henry of Corbin, and Clayton James Gray, Jeffery Gray, Joey Gray and wife Mary, and Lisa Gray all of Girdler; 3 sisters: Anna Bruner of London and Wanda Hollins and Brenda Gray both of Keavy; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Clayton Gray will be conducted in the New Bethel Church on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Randy Johnson, Rev. Fred Disney, and Rev. David Mounce officiating. Burial will follow in the Gray Family Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Barbourville Funeral Home on Friday from 6 to 9 pm, Saturday from 10am to 9 pm and Sunday at the New Bethel Baptist Church from 12:30 pm to the funeral hour at 2.
