Mr. Christopher Landon Irvin, 46, of Girdler, passed away Thursday evening, March 10, 2022 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital. He was the son of Donald Joe Irvin and the late Ilene Smith Irvin born on July 23, 1975 in Knoxville, TN.
Christopher was a former restaurant manager at Buffalo Wild Wings, The Pub and The Village Host in Lexington and most recently a cabinet design specialist with W. D. Bryant in Corbin and was a member of the Heidrick Holiness Church. Christopher was a loving son and brother with a sharp wit and a tender heart. He found strength in Jesus Christ and was faithful to pray. He also found particular delight in fishing on Laurel Lake from his Ranger Bass boat. He enjoyed the outdoors and spoiling the family’s Yorkshire Terrier, Pebbles Irvin. Christopher had a wonderful work ethic and was excellent at managing, creating and developing. His sense of humor kept his family entertained and he was a joy to be around. He will be greatly missed and his family and friends will cherish their memories of him always.
Survivors include his loving father, Donald Joe Irvin of Girdler; a beloved sister, Brittany Irvin of Girdler; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, March 18 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Dr. Tyler Shields, Rev. Tommy Bellamy and Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Hampton Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Mitchell Kelley, Russell Jones, Terry Jones, Casey Smith, Glendale Smith, Nathaniel Vaughn, Duke Hammons and Shannon Burnett. Serving as an honorary bearer will be Dr. Tom Ashburn.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Friday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
