Christopher Joeseph Jarvis, age 42 of Cannon, KY was born in Knox County, KY on November ,16 1978 to Pearl Jarvis, Jr. and Ivey Gibson and departed this life on Friday, July 23, 2021 in the Pineville Community Hospital. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed playing computer games, watching wrestling, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Tim Sergent; paternal grandfather: Pearl Jarvis, Sr.; and maternal grandparents: Roy and Mae Gibson.
He was survived by his loving father: Pearl Jarvis, Jr. and fiancé Norma Smith of Corbin; adoring mother: Ivey Pat Gibson Moses and husband Milford of Corbin; special friend: Crissy Gray; a niece: Brittany Rhodes of Williamsburg; a nephew: Tony Sergent of Williamsburg; a sister-in-law: Susie Sergent of Williamsburg; other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Servies for Mr. Christopher Jarvis will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Rick Broughton and Rev. Donald Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Blevins Cemetery with Tony Sergent, Donald Smith, Austin Smith, Travis Smith, and Andy Montes serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
