China Ann Jones, known to us all as China, was a woman of resilience, love, and faith. Born on the 30th of August, 1952, she lived a fulfilling life and left us on the 2nd of October, 2024. Her life was a testament to the quote by Helen Keller that “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.” This was evident in the love she had for her family, friends, and her community in Williamsburg, Kentucky, where she resided.
China was a proud member of the Meadow Grove Baptist Church, where she found solace and strength. She found joy in the simplicity of life – crocheting, spending time with family, and working on her puzzle books. Her spirit was reflected in the love she held for her nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends who mourn her passing.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherry (James) Freeman and Jenifer (Terry Sizemore) Evans; son, Shannon (Amber) Jones; sisters, Dora Campbell, Pricilla Paul, Norma Miller, and Jeanie Paul; brothers, Roger, Terry, Gary, Larry, and Bobby Inman. She was also blessed with several grandchildren, including Connor Sizemore, Madison Jones, Dylan Jones, Austin Jones, Bentley Jones, Cody Evans, Meghan Evans, Cameron Sizemore, McKenzie Sizemore, Keisha (Nathaniel) Davis, Matthew (Angel) Rains, and Aaron (Brianna) Philpot. She was a great-grandmother to Leah and Aiden Davis. China was preceded in death by her parents, Andy and Jewell Inman, husband, James Jones, daughters, Sheila Rains and Infant Marsha Jones, and her sister, Sandra Black.
Visitation will be held at Croley Funeral Home, located at 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky, 40769, on Friday, 04 Oct 2024 at 5:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the same location on Saturday, 05 Oct 2024 at 11:00am with the Reverend Bill Mills officiating. Interment will follow at Freeman – Sears Cemetery, Barbourville, Kentucky on Saturday, 05 Oct 2024 at 2:00pm.
