Chester Allen Shelton, age 64 of Flat Lick, was born in Knox County, KY on December 19, 1959 to the late Nelson and Mary Hensley Shelton and departed this life on July 12, 2024 at his home. He was of the Protestant Faith and enjoyed fishing, playing cards, being outside, watching TV, and time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents: Nelson and Mary Shelton; 4 brothers: Nelson Shelton, Jr., Woodrow Shelton, Norman Shelton, and Leon Shelton preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving siblings: Bobby Shelton of Flat Lick, and Dianne Lewis of Barbourville; his best friend: Lisa Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Chester Shelton will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Terry Broughton officiating. Burial will follow in the A J Gray Cemetery with Daniel Frye, Thomas Frye, Joe Lewis, David Shelton, Zachary Lewis, and Dustin Napier serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Barbourville Funeral Home on Tuesday from 12 Noon to the funeral hour at 2.
