Mrs. Cheryl Lee Jackson, 76, of Gray, passed away Friday afternoon, April 1, 2022 at Baptist Health Lexington. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Eloise Lightner Adolf born on September 13, 1945 in Cincinnati, OH.
Cheryl was a former registered nurse with Baptist Regional Medical Center, a nursing school teacher and a member of the East Barbourville Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises with her husband and friends, reading, crafting and spending time with family.
On May 20, 1972, she united in marriage with Bobby Ray Jackson and to this union four children were born.
Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Bobby Jackson of Gray; four dearly loved children, Beverly Jackson Williams and husband, Jay, of Hamilton, OH, Carl Jackson of Berea, David Jackson and wife, Crystal, of Barbourville and Andrew Jackson of Corbin; cherished grandchildren, Justin Carrizales and wife, Erin, Jaclyn Johnson and husband, Jason, and Leah, Carter and Jenna Jackson; great grandchildren, Caden Johnson and Maria Carrizales; a sister-in-law, Ruth Jackson of Barbourville, who she loved as a sister; a special cousin, John Lewis of Batesville, IN, who she loved as a brother; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, April 7 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Josh Smith officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Thursday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
