Cecile Mae Hensley, 74, passed away Saturday, November, 23, 2019. Cecile was the daughter of the late Charita Patterson (Helton) and Earl Helton born happily to them on February 9, 1945 in Davis Bend, Ky.
Cecile was cherished by her husband Henry who felt he had not known a finer women in his 74 years than she. Cecile loved her family. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed keeping her family and friends well fed. She also enjoyed quilting. Cecile was a good judge of character and appreciated the love she received from her family and the support she felt from her Baptist faith. Cecile was also a talented decorator, working many years for the Sterling Furniture Company.
Left behind to mourn Cecile’s passing is her loving husband, Henry Franklin Hensley; her son Larry Hensley of Washbum, Tn.; daughter Brenda Leveille (Bob) of Prattville, Al.; and a sister, Frances Bull. Four beautiful grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive Cecile: Meagan Hensley, Rebecca Hensley, Kellee Weir, Johnny Weir, and Jaylen Hill, as well as, many wonderful friends.
The Funeral Service for Cecile will be at the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. with the Reverend David Barnard officiating. Pallbearers for Ms. Cecile will be Johnny Weir, Colby Hall, Lucas Simmons, and Tommy Smith. Honorary Pallbearers are George Hensley, Vernon Smith, as well as, caregivers from Amedisys Home Health and Hospice. Visiting hours will be Sunday evening, November 24, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at noon. Burial will be at the Phipps Cemetery, in Emmanuel Hollow, immediately following the funeral.
