Ms. Carrie Leann Mills, 39, of Barbourville, passed away Wednesday morning, June 26, 2024 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was the daughter of E.J. Mills and the late Debra Mills born September 26, 1984 in Corbin.
Carrie was a homemaker and attended the Horn Branch Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching CMT and playing with balloons. She was a well loved part of her family and nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with them, especially her niece and nephews.
In addition to her mother, Debra Darlene Mills, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Claude and Norma Mills and Cecil and Bernice Mills and uncles, Bobby and M.C. Mills.
Survivors include her loving father and brother, E.J. Mills and Berneil Mills and wife, Whitney, all of Barbourville; cherished nieces and nephews, Kennedee Leann Mills, Oakley Ray John Mills and Oliver Wakes Evie Mills; aunts and uncles, Brenda Taylor and husband, Lowell, of London, Janice Gregory and husband, Jabe, of Girdler, Lisa Smith and husband, Gary, of Woolum, Edward Mills of Somerset, Carolyn Sue and husband, Tom, of Indianapolis, IN, Swella Bingham of Richmond, Clara Frederick and husband, Dennis, of Heidrick, Ronnie Mills and wife, Joyce, of Bimble and Sherilenna Disney and husband, Greg, of Indiana; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Wednesday, July 3, at 2 P.M. with Rev. Pat Chesnut officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Serving as casket bearers will be Brandon Bingham, Dewayne Smith, Jeremy Sears, Dustin Mills and Oakley Mills. Serving as an honorary casket bearer will be Oliver Mills.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Rockcastle Regional Hospital for the care they provided Carrie.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
