Obituary for Carolyn D. Gray (1963-2023)

Mrs. Carolyn D. Gray, lovingly known as Dee Dee, 59, of Flat Lick, passed away Monday afternoon, July 31, 2023 at the Pineville Community Health Center. She was the daughter of the late Denver and Jeanette Brock Baker born October 31, 1963 in Mt. Clemens, MI.

Carolyn was a homemaker and a member of the Concord Baptist Church.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, painting, playing card games, camping and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

On September 9, 1983, she united in marriage with Marty Gray.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth William Baker; a sister, Donna Maidment and three brothers, Ted, Wayne and Mike Baker.

Survivors include her loving husband, Marty Gray of Flat Lick; a daughter, April Gray-Garland and husband, Ron, of Flat Lick; a daughter-in-law, Gena Dyer Baker of Michigan; sisters, Sandra Tompkins and husband, Don, Janet Domalgoski, Sharon Adkins and husband, Keith, and Debra Baker all of Michigan; brothers, William Baker and wife, Diane, Gary Baker, Glen Baker and wife, Penny, all of Michigan and James Baker and Stephanie of Flat Lick; cherished grandchildren, Kami Lynn Garland, Madilynn Bo Garland, Ritchie Dyer Baker, Lilliana Dyer Baker, Matthew Dyer Baker, Dakoda Dyer Baker and Brooklynn Behn Baker; several nieces and nephews; a special cousin and her partner in crime, Myra Mullins; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, August 6 at 4 P.M. with Rev. Larry Sowders officiating.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday after 1 P.M. until the funeral hour.

Expressions of sympathy may go to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
