Obituary for Candace Lynn England Knuckles (1986-2021)

Candace Lynn England Knuckles, age 34, was born October 25, 1986 in Middlesboro Kentucky and went to her eternal home on Sunday, September 12, 2021 in Bell County Kentucky. Candace attended Gateway Christian School, Middlesboro Christian Academy, and graduated from Middlesboro High School in 2004. During her young lifetime, Candace achieved many certifications reflective of her passions. Her latest venture was becoming a Certified Personal Trainer in which she found immense joy and satisfaction. Candace was known for her huge heart, feisty spirit, enthusiastic admiration for Ford Mustang cars, and without question, more than anything else on this earth, for her most absolute love for her son, Steven.

Candace is preceded in death by her grandparents Patsy England and Judy Ely; aunts Denise England Miracle and Sharron England; uncles Chuck Baker, Matthew Collins, and Jeff Bolt; cousins Crista Jo Bolt Estes and Billy Miller.

Candace is survived by her son Steven Hoover; parents Robert and Sonya England; brother Chris England; nephews Blake Evans and Bradley England; grandfather Ronnie Ely; uncles David England, Denver England, and Richard Ely; aunts Mitzi (Mark) Oneski, Lora Baker, Debbie Bolt; niece, Halie Ely; cousins, David England, Lexi (Brandie) England, Michael Miracle, Adam Collins, Jessica (Derrick) Miracle, Bradley (Crystal) Baker; former sister-in-law/family friend April Sexton; and former husbands/family friends Dustin (Breanna & Braxton) Hoover and Josh Knuckles; and a host of other family and friends too numerous to mention.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Green Hills Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Green Hills Funeral Home with Dr. Macel Ely and Dr. Macel Ely II officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be family and friends:  Steven Hoover, Bradley England, Blake Evans, Bradley Baker, Derrick Miracle, Dustin Hoover, Josh Knuckles, and Madison Barnett.

The England family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the following in no particular order:  the Bell County Rescue Squad lead by Steve Barton along with mutual aid from Harlan County Rescue Squad, Knox County Rescue Squad, Laurel County Rescue Squad, and Lee County Rescue Squad for their extensive ground search effort; Kentucky State Police lead by P. J. Burnett for Troopers on the ground and in the air; Bell County Emergency Management lead by Ben Barnett; City of Middlesboro (Mayor Rick Nelson) for making all of the city resources available; Bell County Fiscal Court (Alby Brock) for making all of the county resources available; the Bell County Forestry Camp canine handlers for the use of their search dogs; Robbie Keck for the personal air support with his fixed wing plane; Bell County Coroner Don Horton; the numerous volunteer searchers who spent countless hours on foot and on ATVs in rugged terrain; those who provided food and drinks for all searchers and our family; Green Hills Funeral Home for going above and beyond to assist our family during this most difficult time; for anyone whom we may have accidentally failed to mention; and for the enormous outpouring of steadfast love, support, and prayers without which we could not have found any peace or comfort as we continue our journey through this most difficult and grievous process.
