Brenda Sue (Gray) Doolin, 75, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Monday, Dec. 25, 2023.
Brenda was born on July 17, 1948, at her grandmother’s home in Prichard Branch, KY. She was the second of nine children of Nelson and Mabel (Elliott) Gray.
Brenda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved her family and was happiest when they were near.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Gary Doolin; her daughter, Debora (William) Lloyd; her son Robert (Kathy) Myers; her stepson, Gary Wayne (Rebecca) Doolin, II; her brother, Nelson (Ramona) Gray; her brother, Harold Gene (Charon) Gray; her brother, Charles (Debbie) Gray; her sister, Mary Ella (Doug) Shields; her sister, Lisa (Eric) Lauterwasser; her brother, Gary (Lisa) Gray; her grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah and Joshua Myers, and a step-granddaughter Ellie-Ann Doolin; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson & Mabel (Elliott) Gray; her brother, Jerry Gray; her sister and brother-in-law, Patricia (Gray) & William Noe; her sister-in-law, Peggy (DeRossett) Gray; her ex-husband, Terry Myers, and her husband, Robert D. Reeder.
Funeral services for Brenda will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Don Farmer and Rev. David Lawson officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Elliott Cemetery in Mackey Bend, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Family and Friends. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
