Mrs. Brenda Lee Gray, 58, of Turkey Creek, the widow of Ulysis Gray, passed away Wednesday morning, March 11, 2020 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was the daughter of Betty Engle Honeycutt and the late Walter Honeycutt born on October 12, 1961 in Pineville.
Brenda was a former certified nurse aide with Professional Home Health and a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle. She enjoyed watching television and tending flowers.
In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Wendy Honeycutt.
Survivors include her mother, Betty Honeycutt; a son, Jeremiah Gray; a sister, Bertha Lee and husband, Granville; a brother, Walter Michael Honeycutt all of Turkey Creek; nieces and nephews, Chassidy Saylor and husband, Gilbert, Daniel Lee, Stephanie Williams and husband, Wesley, and Cody Lee; six great nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, March 15 at 3 P.M. with Rev. Jimmy Lee officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Carnes Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Daniel Lee, Cody Lee, Gilbert Saylor, A. B. Smallwood, Travis Payne, Bob Payne, Kevin Hughes and Jeremiah Newman. Honorary bearers will be Pat Smith, Ruby Payne, Denise Grubb and two special nurses at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Brandy and Laura.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
