Obituary for Bradley Brown (1954-2024)

Mr. Bradley Brown, 69, of Flat Lick, passed away Monday afternoon, August 19, 2024 at his home.  He was the son of the late Ed Gray and Cordia Brown born on October 27, 1954 at home on Brown’s Branch.

Bradley was a former logger and believed in the Holiness faith.  He enjoyed coon hunting, riding horses, riding four-wheelers and would trade just about anything.  Bradley also loved talking with folks at the D & D Store and most loved spending time with his family.

On December 6, 1984, he united in marriage with Evelyn Smith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, two brothers, James and Dallas Brown and sisters-in-law, Betty Brown, Judy Brown and Teetta Burnette.

Survivors include his loving children, Bradford Brown and wife, Jessica, of Dewitt, Cordia Brown and Heidi Price both of Barbourville and Flidge Gambrel and husband, Ricky, of Scalf; a sister, Agnes North of Flat Lick; brothers, Bill Brown and wife, Gerry, of Dewitt, General Brown and wife, Delia, of Scalf, J. B. Brown and wife, Debbie, of London and Bowman Brown of Scalf; cherished grandchildren, Devin Brown, Kevin Brown, Brayden Brown, Braxton Price, Braylee Price, Bradley Price Jr., Robin Hammons and Gunner Mills; good friends, Stacy Brown, Lester Grubb “Big Foot” and Ray Burnett; among other loved ones and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Saturday, August 24 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Gilbert Collins and Steven Brown officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Brown Family Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Devin Brown, Kevin Brown, Brayden Brown, Emmanuel Crawford, Dean Crawford, Jeffery Gray and Tyler Brown.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Saturday prior to the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
