Obituary for Bonnie Ray Henson (1960-2021)

Bonnie Ray Henson Vanhorn, age 61 of Artemus was born in Corbin, KY on March 17, 1960 to the lateT. J. and Elizabeth White Henson and departed this life on Sunday, March 30, 2021 at her home.  She was a member of Trosper Church of God, and enjoyed going to Church and serving the Lord, cooking, being outdoors, caring for her animals, working in her flowers, and time with family and friends, especially the grandchildren.

In addition to her parents: TJ and Elizabeth Henson; her first husband: John Wesley Bays; and second husband: James Vanhorn preceded her in death.

Bonnie is survived by her loving children: Michael Jody and wife Angela and Kimberly Hembree all of Trosper, Jerry Hitsman of Corbin, Jennifer Guerrero, Rachael McElroy, and Elizabeth McElroy all of Louisville, KY, and Amy Young and Cindy of Artemus; 2 sisters: Tammy Miller and Connie Murphy all of IN; 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Bonnie Vanhorn will be conducted in the Trosper Church of God on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Jason Smith officiating.  All other services will be private to the family.  Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Friends may call at the Trosper Church of God Sunday after 1:00 P.M. to the funeral hour at 2.  Due to the continuing Covid- 19 Pandemic, and regulations from our Governor on gatherings all who attend will be required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
