Mrs. Bonnie G. Mills, 81, of Barbourville, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 12, 2021 at Baptist Health Corbin. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy Frazier Hensley born on June 7, 1940 at Gray.
Bonnie was a member of the Swan Pond Baptist Church. She had many hobbies, which included gardening, canning, cooking and farming, although nothing compared to the time that she was able to spend with her dearly loved children and grandchildren.
On December 18, 1960, she united in marriage with R.M. Mills and to this union four children were born.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two grandchildren.
Survivors include her five devoted children, Rufus Mills and wife, Mary, Franklin Mills and fiancé, Jamie Rose, Donna Johnson and husband, Doug, and Diana Scalf all of Barbourville; David Mills and wife, Sharon, of Swan Pond; sisters, Joyce Smith of London and Judy Hensley of Michigan; brothers, George Hensley and wife, Brenda, of Paint Hill, James Hensley and his wife of Florida and Henry Hensley of Tennessee; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, with one expected to arrive soon; among other relatives and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, December 20 at 12 noon with Rev. Michael Deland officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Phipps Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be her grandsons.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Monday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
