Bobbie Sue Hubbard, age 77 of Barbourville was born in Knox County, KY on June 18th, 1947 to the late Paul and Maggie Brumley McDonald and departed this life on March 27th, 2025 at 7:16 A.M. peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Eddie Hubbard; her parents: Paul and Maggie McDonald; her son: Edward Hubbard, Jr.; 2 daughters: Louise Thomas, and Helen Roark and husband Marty.
She is survived by her children: Brenda Thomas and husband Ralph, Herschel Hubbard and wife Brenda, Alice Hubbard, and Eddie J. Hubbard; as well as 21 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and many friends.
She was very proud of her Cherokee Heritage and enjoyed walking through the mountains, foraging for Ginseng and Yellow Root, and would often be found on her porch drinking Coffee and smoking, or tending her garden. She was a member of Lovell Church. She was very down to earth and had a wonderful sense of humor. The love and laughter Bobbie Sue gave to her friends and family will be dearly missed.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Bobbie Sue Hubbard will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Orangie Wheat, Rev. Mike Bruner, and Rev. Scotty Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Hubbard Cemetery with grandsons serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Barbourville Funeral Home on Sunday from 12 Noon to the funeral hour at 2.
