Mr. Billy Mills Jr., 39, of Cannon, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 22, 2020 at Baptist Health Louisville. He was the son of Billie Mills Sr. and the late Jackie Marie McCormick Rayburn born on April 30, 1980 in Lexington.
Billy was a former carpenter and of the Holiness faith. He was very artistic and loved to draw, do tattoos and work on motor bikes and small engines.
He united in marriage with Amanda R. Mills, who preceded him in death.
In addition to his mother and wife, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank Mills, Jack McCormick and Margaret McCormick; an aunt, Lisa Mills and an uncle, who was like a father, A. G. Mills.
Survivors include his father, Billie Mills Sr. of Cannon; three children, Tristan Bassinger and wife, Brittany, of Indiana, Sara Mills and Brayden Mills both of Flat Lick; a sister, Margaret Mae Roark and husband, Derrick, of Flat Lick; a brother, Jeremy Mills and wife, Kayla, of Green Road; two grandchildren, Isaiah and Cole; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; among other loved ones and dear friends.
A private family funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, April 27 with Rev. Charles Eversole officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Eversole Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be family.
A drive-thru visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday between 12:00 and 1:00 P.M. For your safety, we ask that you remain in your vehicle.
