Mrs. Betty Sue McVey Bowling, 79, of Barbourville, passed away Monday afternoon, October 24, 2022 at The Willows of Harrodsburg. Betty attended Union College and EKU to obtain a bachelors, then masters degree in education, then earned her rank 1 certification.

In addition to her aforementioned Children and Grandchildren, Betty is survived by: Venna Corey, Wilma Hall and Johnny and wife, Billie Jo McVey.
She was preceded in her death by parents, Manervia and John McVey as well as her husband, Keith Bowling; and brothers-in-law Curt Corey and Tommy Hall.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home on Monday, October 31 at 1 P.M. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Keith Bowling, Kevin Patterson, Michael Nunley, Greg Carlsen, Brennan Carlsen, Grant Carlsen, John McVey III and Curtie Corey.
