Obituary for Betty Louise Earls (1946-2020)

Barbourville, Ky. – Betty Louise Earls of Woodbine, Kentucky, departed this life, surrounded by family on Monday, September 21, 2020.  Betty was born on August 17, 1946, in Helen, West Virginia, to the late Rosie Marie Barker Gibson and Phillip Ray Gibson.

Betty was a Christian who believed in the Baptist faith.  She enjoyed spending time and talking with her family, cuddling and playing with her little dog Max, riding around in the country sightseeing, and watching old westerns on TV.   Betty was a homemaker who grew her own garden and spent a great deal of time canning and making jellies.

Betty leaves behind to celebrate her life and to continue her memories:  Her husband, Clifton Earls of Woodbine, Kentucky; her daughter Marsha Wood and husband Robert of Gulf Shores, Alabama; her daughter Kimberly Glacz and husband Allen of Holton, Michigan; her daughter Robin Warren of Lawrenceville, Georgia; her daughter Christine Earls of Woodbine, Kentucky;  and her daughter Rebecca Earls of Charleston, West Virginia.  She also leaves behind six grandchildren: Erica Hall and husband Jason; Bradley Wood and fiancé Natalie; Cody Glacz; Kayla Wood and fiancé Cory; Noah Glacz; and Rose Warren.  Betty also leaves behind her five great grandchildren: Hayle, Hayden, Lilly, Levi and Mason.  She leaves behind her one precious sister, Nancy Hambrick, and two beloved brothers Phillip Gibson, Jr and Donnie Gibson.

Honorary pallbearers are Bradley Wood, Jason Hall, Hayden Hall and Andy Earls.  Special thanks to Corbin Baptist Health and Pikeville Medical Center for the loving care they provided.

Betty Earls’ family will be accepting visitors at the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, September 25, 2020, from four p.m. until the funeral hour of 6:00 p.m, with Reverend Randy Johnson officiating and with musical tributes by Tommy Frazier, Jr. She will be laid to rest at the Foley Cemetery at Woodbine, Kentucky.
