Mrs. Betty Faye Elliott, 84, of Woodbine, the widow of Earnest Arnold Elliott, passed away Sunday morning, October 27, 2024 at the Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 11, 1940 at Greasy Creek in Bell County to the late Huey Addison and Alma Christine McCreary Begley.
Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Indian Gap Baptist Church. She was a talented seamstress and could sew anything and loved shopping for shoes.
Other family members to precede her in death include her siblings, Huey Dewayne Begley, James Maryland Begley, Ronnie Jack Begley, Bobby Dale Begley and Jewell Margaret Powell.
Survivors include her dearly loved son, Carlus Bolton and wife, Michelle, of Woodbine; a sister, Barbara Sue Faulkner and husband, Danny, of Corbin; a special sister-in-law, Ella McCreary of Woodbine; cherished grandchildren, Alicia Danielle Wallen and husband, Daniel, and Brandon Arnold Bolton and wife, Sheena; great grandchildren, Haley and Dylan Wallen and Katie Bolton; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, November 1 at 1 P.M. with Rev. David Johnson officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Wells Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Daniel Wallen, Dylan Wallen, Brandon Bolton, Jay Smith, Jordan Paul and Carlus Bolton. The Knox County Sheriff Department will serve as honorary bearers.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
