Obituary for Beatrice Mills (1960-2020)

Beatrice Mills age 60 of Scalf, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at her home. She was born on March 28, 1960 the daughter of Victor and Viola Mills and the wife of Jerry Mills.  Beatrice believed in the Baptist faith and was saved. She attended Jeffs Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to goodwill, gardening and working in her flowers, mowing the yard and her grandbabies.

          She is preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Viola Mills a grandson, Samuel McCulley, three sisters, Doris Smith, Delois Mills and Brenda Mills and one brother, Donald Ray Mills.

          Left behind to mourn her passing, her husband Jerry Mills and daughter Tasha McCulley and husband Tommy all of Scalf, and Wendy Mills and Kimberly Brown who she thought of as her daughters, two grandchildren, Bentley Mills and Sarah McCulley,  two brothers, Victor Mills, Jr. and wife Mae and Denver Mills all of Scalf, two sisters, Mildred Smith and husband Cleveland of Bimble, and Anna Liford and husband Dean of Hinkle. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

          Funeral services for Beatrice are private. She will be laid to rest in the Mills Cemetery at Salt Gum.  Pallbearers will be Tommy McCulley, Michael Ward, Austin Ward, Keith Broughton, Braxton Broughton, Brandon Frost and Larry Mills. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

All services are required to be PRIVATE. This is effective Friday, November 20, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. and will continue for the next 24 days. 

Please note, during the ongoing pandemic, there will be capacity restrictions of twenty-five (25) people total, regardless of where the services are held. This includes visitations, funerals, memorial services and graveside or committal services.

Social distancing guidelines of six feet apart will need to be followed as well during all our services. This will include wearing a face covering as mandated by the Governor of Kentucky for the safety of our families, visitors’ and staff.
