Obituary for Barbara Ann Wells (1965-2021)

Barbara Ann Wells age 56 of London, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, July 18, 2021, in the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky. She was born on January 31, 1965, in Pineville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Cecil Wells and Nadine (Brock) Wells. Barbara believed in the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family, riding motorcycles, traveling, especially to Florida and the beach.

      She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Nadine Wells, two brothers, Isaac Wells and Jimmy Wells, two sisters, Shirley Mae Wells Brooks and Kathryn Wells Allen, her paternal grandparents, Irvin and Sarah Jane Wells and maternal grandparents, Isaac Brock and Florence (Gambrel) Brock.

      Left behind to mourn her passing, her husband, Gary Coffey, her two daughters Marcella Smith of London and Darlene Alsip and husband Daniel of Corbin, grandchildren, Nevaeh Alsip and Braxton Alsip of Corbin, a sister, Ruby Payne and husband Bobby of Barbourville an uncle, Earl Dean Brock of Flat Lick, a special sister-in-law, Lodena Wells of Flat Lick, nieces and nephews, Robbie Jean Brock, Rebecca Wells, Janet Sue Vaughn, Sandra Brooks, Douglas Wells, John Curtis Abrams, Anthony Brooks and Travis Ray Payne, cousins, Ellen Pauline Fisher, Larry Wells, Danny Brock, Andrea Brock and Earl Brock, Jr. She also leaves behind many other relatives and friends.

      Funeral services for Barbara Ann Wells will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.  with Rev. Jeff Sturdivant officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Wells Cemetery at Flat Lick. Pallbearers will be, Benny Brooks, Marcella Smith, Doug Wells, Daniel Alsip, Robert Alsip, Bobby Payne, Anthony Brooks, Jeremy Coffey and Dakota Coffey. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

      Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
