Bailee Elizabeth Powell, infant daughter of John Powell and Megan Smith, passed away Friday, February 25th, 2022. Bailee was born on June 17th, 2021 in Corbin, KY.
Bailee was a happy and joyful baby who never knew a stranger. She adored her big brother who could always make her laugh. Bailee especially loved Minnie Mouse and her Baby Alive doll. She also loved to play dress up with her Mommy, play Peek-A-Boo with her Daddy, and watch shows with her Bubby.
Bailee was greeted in Heaven by her Mamaw, June Smith; Nan, Kathy Saylor; Papaw, Earl Smith; uncle, Caleb Wagner; and a host of great-grandparents and relatives.
Bailee is survived by her parents, John Powell and Megan Smith, and big brother, Rylan Powell; grandparents, Kristy Smith, Steven Smith, Tammy Wagers, Shonda Boatright, and Brandon Powell; great-grandparents, James and Geneva Helton; aunts, Morgan Smith, McKenzie Yeager, Chelsea Monroe, and Taylor Mills; an uncle, Tyler Smith; great aunt, Rachel Smith; and a special cousin, Sarah Smith.
The family will receive friends feom 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 5th, 2022 at Barbourville Funeral Home in Barbourville, KY with Reverend James Laiben officiating. Graveside service will be held at the Hubbard Cemetery following the visitation.
Bailee was abundantly loved by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations for funeral expenses may be made directly to Barbourville Funeral Home.
