Mrs. Anna Lee Smith age 81 of Barbourville, departed this life on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in the Barbourville Hospital. She was the widow of R.C. Smith and the daughter of Bill and Winnie Smith, born to them on April 16, 1940 in Knox County. On March 23, 1957, she united in marriage with R.C. Smith and to this union four children were born.
She was a member of the Hazel Fork Holiness Church in Corbin, Kentucky. She looked forward to attending her church every chance she got and loved spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill & Winnie Smith, her husband R.C. Smith, two sisters, Debbie Bright and Sally Smith and one brother, Arvil Smith.
Left behind to mourn her passing, three sons, Harlan Smith and wife Tammy, Tolman Smith and wife Beverly and Cleveland Smith all of Barbourville, her daughter Betty Miracle and husband Mike of Cannon, five brothers, Gary Smith and wife Lisa of Horn Branch, Daniel Smith and wife Cathy, John Smith and wife Cathy and Jr. Smith and wife Judy all of Girdler and Virgil Smith and wife Helen of Flat Lick, four sisters, Jean Gray and husband Danny, Lois Messer and husband Alvin, Joyce Jordan and husband Bill all of Girdler and Ada Ray of Corbin, a sister-in-law, Nettie Smith of Girdler, seven grandchildren, Travis Smith of Barbourville, Kim Hurst and husband Kenneth of Gray, Kendra Sizemore and husband Chris of Cannon, Mary Ann Engle and husband Lyde of Flat Lick, Rodney Smith and wife Jessica of Keavy, Ashley Bright and husband Brandon of Corbin and Whitney Martin of Barbourville, nine great grandchildren, Sydney Hurst, Tyler Mills, Breannah Engle, Rylee Bright, Grant Bright, Addison Smith, Reid Smith, Braden Sizemore and Tatum Smith.
Funeral services for Anna Smith will be conducted on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jon Morris and Rev. Ben Morris officiating. Pallbearers will be, Travis Smith, Brandon Gray, Tony Smith, Rodney Smith, Mark Smith and Nick Jordan. She will be laid to rest in the Calvin Jordan Cemetery at Woolum. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m.
