Barbourville, Ky. – Anna Belle Beddow Henson, 103, of Flat Lick, Kentucky passed away April 21, 2022. Anna Belle was the daughter of Bertha Beddow born to her on September 17, 1918, in Knox County, Kentucky.
Anna Belle was a strong woman, evidenced by her long life of 103 years. She was a loyal, honest, kind, funny and thoughtful person. Anna Belle loved her family, faith, neighbors, children, and animals. She was of the Holiness faith. Anna Belle attended Boone Height Holiness and was known to, occasionally, hold her own church service in her home. Anna Belle enjoyed spending time with her cats Benji and Stumpy, watching television, and banana popsicles. She also liked to cook and loved doing so for her neighbors – especially the children in her neighborhood who frequently requested her delicious soup beans and cornbread.
Anna Belle was preceded in death by her mother Bertha Beddow, her beloved husband Peaberry Henson, and brothers William Hickey, James McCulley, Johnny McCulley, and Wade McCulley. Left behind to mourn her passing are her cherished nieces and nephews.
A graveside service is planned for Anna Belle on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at 1:00 PM in Lawson Cemetery Big Creek, at Red Bird, Clay County, Kentucky.
