Alton “Jerry” Callihan, Sr. age 76 of Girdler was born in Knox County, KY on April 5, 1945 to the late Dan and Annadee Hubbard Callihan and departed this life on August 30, 2021 in the Barbourville ARH Hospital. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed watching TV, working, and time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, a brother: Harold Callihan preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 54 years Doris Callihan of Girdler; a son: Alton Jerry Callihan, Jr. and wife Deanna of Girdler; 3 brothers: Gary Callihan and wife Cindy of Girdler, Roy Callihan of Richmond, and Gregg Callihan of Williamsburg; a sister: Shelia Hendrickson of Williamsburg; 2 grandchildren: Morgan and Logan; other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Jerry Callihan, Sr. will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 4, 2021 with Rev. Lonnie Collett officiating. Burial will follow in the Callihan Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home on Saturday from 12 Noon to the funeral hour at 2.
