Mr. Albert Sizemore, 80, of Gray, passed away Thursday morning, October 17, 2024 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Knox County on March 5, 1944 to the late William and Lucy Saylor Sizemore.
Albert was a former logger and of the Holiness faith. He enjoyed going to horse sales, riding horses and enjoyed simple pleasures like buying and collecting odds and ends that folks no longer wanted.
On December 10, 1964, he united in marriage with Allie Grubb and to this union two children were born.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Lizzie North and husband, John, Leona North, Ruth Grubb, Vina Marie Mills and husband, Lonzo, T. J. Sizemore and wife, Gladys, and Virgil Sizemore and wife, Valmarie.
Survivors include his loving wife, Allie Sizemore of Gray; his children, Terry Sizemore and Jennifer of Williamsburg and Tina Warfield and husband, Kenneth “Pie Daddy”, of Girdler; a brother-in-law, David Grubb of Rockholds; grandchildren, Amber Jones and husband, Shannon, Tyler Warfield and girlfriend, Ariauna, Cameron Sizemore, Abigail Warfield, Miley Warfield and McKenzie Sizemore; three great grandchildren, Dylan, Austin and Bentley Jones; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, October 20 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Lonnie Collett officiating.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
