Louisville Woman arrested at Grab & Go: drugs, guns and cash confiscated.

Gray, KY. (November 30, 2019) – On November 30, 2019 at 9:30 p.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a call that a female was passed out inside of her vehicle in the parking lot of the Grab and Go Market in the Gray community of Knox County. Trooper Sidney Wagner and Tpr. John Corey responded and located the female passed out inside of the vehicle.

Upon trooper’s arrival, they observed Amanda Vanmeter (34) of Louisville, Ky passed out in the driver’s seat with a large amount of cash in her lap. Troopers also observed several syringes, a glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine and a pistol in the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, two grams of methamphetamine, three hand guns, $6,426.00 in cash, digital scales and several different types of pills were located.

Ms. Vanmeter was arrested and lodged into the Knox County Detention Center. She was charged with the following charges:

  1. Trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense – < 2 grams Methamphetamine
  2. Trafficking in legend drugs 1st offense
  3. Possession of firearm by convicted felon
  4. Drug paraphernalia
  5. DUI 1st degree

Case is under investigation by Tpr. Sidney Wagner. He was assisted at the scene by Tpr. John Corey, MTP. Dallas Eubanks and Canine Alex.
